A special edition of the Art Walk that focusses on music and music instruments.

We will start in Singer Cafe with a short introduction and then visit Aref's music instrument workshop where we can see how the traditional instruments such as the 'ud and the qanun are made.

Then we will continue through the small alleys and stairs of the old city of Beit Sahour towards Beit el Musika, the house of music, a project by young Palestinian musicians. They will tell us about their initiative and give us a chance to listen to some of their music.

The Art Walk will finish at the Latin Church where you can attend a free concert by the Amwaj children's choir and a string ensemble that combines a quintet from Folkwang University (Germany) and a group of local musicians (students, amateurs and professionals).

We ask for a contribution of 25 shekels towards the MishwArt initiative that is trying to promote the work of local Palestinian artists through its Art Walks.

Please make a reservation: [email protected]

(If you want to drink something before the Art Walk please come earlier, we do want to start at 4PM sharp)

Children are welcome as long as they don't disturb the activity, if they get bored, please wander off a little ;)
