Ce documentaire met en lumière les créations de six femmes d'Afrique subsaharienne dans divers domaines intellectuels et artistiques, élaborant une archive visuelle d'une qualité et d'une portée sans précédent. Le film se penche sur la nature complexe de la production culturelle contemporaine de l'Afrique sub-saharienne par les femmes, ce qui incite le public à mieux comprendre et théoriser les nouveaux paradigmes et les voix qu'il met en évidence. En se concentrant sur les questions de la mémoire historique et du patrimoine culturel ainsi que sur le potentiel émancipateur de la narration des archives par les femmes, le film recoupe d'importantes questions pertinentes pour le contexte palestinien.

يسلط هذا الفيلم الضوء على إبداعات ست نساء من أفريقيا جنوب الصحراء الكبرى في مجالات فكرية وفنية متنوعة، حيث شكلن أرشيفا مرئيا بجودة ونطاق لا مثيل لهما.
يستعرض الفيلم الطبيعة المعقدة لإنتاج المرأة الثقافي المعاصر في أفريقيا جنوب الصحراء الكبرى، الأمر الذي يدفع المشاهد إلى تحسين فهمه للنماذج الجديدة والأصوات التي يبرزها الفيلم ووضعها في أطر نظرية.
وبالتركيز على قضايا الذاكرة التاريخية والإرث الثقافي وأيضا على الإمكانية التحررية لرواية المرأة للأرشيف، يتناول الفيلم قضايا مهمة تتقاطع مع مثيلاتها في السياق الفلسطيني.

Screening of The Vibrancy of Silence: A Discussion with My Sisters, of Frieda Ekotto and Marthe Djilo Kamga.
This 90-minute documentary highlights the creative achievements of six Sub-Saharan African women in various intellectual and artistic fields, elaborating a visual archive of unprecedented quality and scope. The film reflects on the complex nature of contemporary Sub-Saharan African cultural production by women, prompting the audience to better understand and theorize the new paradigms and voices it highlights. Focusing on questions of historical memory and cultural heritage as well as on the emancipatory potential of women’s re-narration of the archive, the film intersects with important issues relevant to the Palestinian context.
