تم اختيار الفيلم لهذا العرض من قبل د. يزيد الرفاعي وديما ياسر، وسيقومون بإدارة النقاش بعد الفيلم.
يواكب الفيلم مسار تجوال السيد هولو –شخصية ظهرت في عدة أفلام لتاتي- وتوهانه في حداثة مدينة باريس. خلال رحلة توهان السيد هولو في باريس يتقاطع مساره بشكل مستمر مع مسار باربرا، سائحة أمريكية تزور باريس برفقة مجموعة من السياح. يبني تاتي أحداث الفيلم من خلال تنقل شخصياته بين عدة فراغات حداثية منها المطار، المكاتب، المعرض التجاري، الشقق السكنية، وأزمة السيارات.

Clumsy Monsieur Hulot (Played by Jacques Tati) finds himself perplexed by the intimidating complexity of a gadget-filled Paris. He attempts to meet with a business contact but soon becomes lost. His roundabout journey parallels that of an American tourist (Barbara Dennek), and as they weave through the inventive urban environment, they intermittently meet. The film is structured around several sequences, most of which are set within predominantly modernist spaces: the airport, the offices, the trade exhibition, the apartments, the royal garden and the carousel of cars.
The film was chosen for this screening by Dr. Yazid El-Rifa’I and Dima Yaser who will be moderating the discussion following the film.
